Writing numbers is harder than writing letters. There are only ten of them, which sounds easy, but each one has to be recognisably distinct from the others even when a 4-year-old draws it wobbly. A '1' that's slightly curved looks like a '7'. A '6' and a '9' depend entirely on which end is up. The only fix is practice.

When should a child start number tracing?+
Usually around age 3–4, after they can recognise the numbers visually. Start with the simpler numerals (1, 7, 10) before moving to curved ones (3, 6, 8, 9).
Do these go past 10?+

Are the worksheets left-handed friendly?+
The directional arrows show the correct stroke direction, which is the same for both hands. Left-handed children can use the same sheets.
