Grade 3 Multiplication Worksheets — Free Printable PDF
Free Grade 3 multiplication worksheets — times tables 1–10, properties of multiplication, word problems. Common Core 3.OA aligned.
Grade 3 multiplication is the biggest single learning target of elementary school maths. The Common Core standard 3.OA.C.7 says it plainly: 'know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.' That's 100 facts (or 55 if you use commutativity), and they need to be automatic by year-end. Without that automaticity, every later maths topic — fractions, division, area, algebra — runs into a wall.
Our Grade 3 multiplication sheets cover the full progression: 0 and 1 facts (free), 2s (skip counting), 5s and 10s (intuitive), 3s and 4s (strategy), then the harder middle ground of 6s, 7s, 8s and 9s. The 9s have their own page because the finger trick is a confidence-builder. We also include sheets on the properties (commutative, associative, distributive) and a mix of multiplication word problems.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which times tables should Grade 3 know?+
All facts up to 10×10 (100 facts) by end of Grade 3, with the goal of automatic recall, not counting.
Are 11s and 12s required?+
11 and 12 times tables are not strictly Common Core but most US schools teach them. UK National Curriculum requires up to 12×12 by Year 4.
What's the distributive property?+
Breaking a multiplication into two easier ones — for example, 7 × 8 = (7 × 5) + (7 × 3). Useful when a child can't recall a fact directly.
How many minutes a day for fact practice?+
Five to ten minutes a day is ideal. Daily short practice beats weekly long sessions for fact memorisation.
