Preschool Shapes Worksheets — Free Printable PDF
Free preschool shapes worksheets — circle, square, triangle, rectangle. Identify, trace and colour basic 2D shapes. Instant download, no signup.
Shapes are the first thing a small child can name with confidence after colours. The four big ones — circle, square, triangle, rectangle — show up everywhere a 3 year old looks: plates, books, doors, sandwiches. Worksheets give that recognition a structured place to land, and the tracing component sneaks in fine motor practice at the same time.
Our preschool shapes pages start with single-shape ID (find all the circles, colour them red), move to tracing the shape outlines, then to mixed identification with multiple shapes on a page. The harder sheets introduce oval, diamond and star, which preschoolers usually pick up by age 4 or 5.
These work well as a 'first activity' on a school morning — quick, low-pressure, builds confidence — and they pair naturally with our Shape Sorter game. Print as many as you like, copy them for class, no signup or paywall.
